About
Specializing in the geology of rivers, deltas and continental margins in Asia with particular focus on the Indus River-Fan system and the South China Sea.
I have special interest in climate-tectonic interactions in Cenozoic Asia and drainage reorganization triggered by uplift of the Tibetan Plateau.
I have a long term interest in sedimentary rocks in subduction zones, including modern and ancient arc volcaniclastic rocks and in the mass balancing of subduction zones with reference to their role as sources and sinks of the continental crust.
